I use the Skinlogics Platinum Plus products and love them. I do, however, have trouble extracting the cleanser from the tube. Is anything being done to help correct this problem?
This is a very valid concern. After the launch of this product, it was quickly identified that the Skinlogics Platinum Plus Cleanser is more difficult to extract from the tube than other products. Choosing the right packaging for a formula is always tricky. I have had many people ask if we could move this product into a jar or a bottle/pump to allow the product to be dispensed more easily. This type of product is really best suited for a tube because of the thick consistency. We do not like to put cleansers in a jar as we do not want to infuse water from the shower into the product which could lead to the harboring and development of bacteria. Similarly, the product is too thick to put into a bottle/pump. So, we have increase the size of the orifice of the tube/cap which will allow the product to be dispensed more easily. Remember, any change takes a bit of time to implement, however, on our next production of tubes, we will increase the size of the orifice which will solve this concern for clients who have experienced this problem.
We are always listening to your suggestions and feedback, so please know that we listen to you and value your constructive feedback regarding our packaging and formulas as we always strive to satisfy our Consultants and your clients.
There is so much information available on BeautiNet, can you please give me a brief explanation of the product related tools that are available so I can have instant access to product information?
For those of you who use BeautiNet, I am sure you have noticed that many changes and improvements have been made over the past year to help give you immediate answers and resources to help you learn more about our amazing products. You will see even further improvements in 2008 as our teams work to incorporate the latest technology into our system development.
There is so much information that is available to you on BeautiNet that you may not have seen or been aware of. Let me give you a quick run-down of all the product related services that you can use to maximize your learning and get the answers that you need as it relates to our products.
When you log on to BeautiNet, you will see four sections that are related to products. At the top of the menu you will see “Product Center” and “Forms on File”. At the left hand side of the page you will see “Product Information Center” and “Consultant Guide”. All four of these areas are full of resources that will help you with your business.
Product Center:
The Product Center is the area of BeautiNet where you can access the following information:

o BeautiControl’s Product Philosophy and what sets us apart from the competition

• And many more items that you can download to file or offer to your clients
Product Information Center:
This is a section of BeautiNet that I use every single day. In this area you will find:
• A one page “profile” for each of the products that we have in the line, featuring product highlights, how to use and ingredient information.
• An ingredient search function that allows you to type in an ingredient to pull a listing of all products that contain that particular ingredient. So, if you want to know what products contain ingredients derived from nuts, simply type “nut” into the ingredient search. This is such a valuable tool and can become a tremendous resource for you when you are dealing with clients who are looking for, or looking to avoid certain ingredients.
Consultant Guide:
The Consultant Guide is the “bible” for the BeautiControl business. IT is updated twice a year and available for you to view and/or print in the event that you need information regarding the company, policies and procedures, products, services, etc.
Coming soon, we will be adding an ingredient glossary in the Consultant Guide so you can print out a full listing of all of our products and ingredients should the need arise.
And don’t forget, the Achiever is now available online. This is so cool!!!
Our goal is to make this business as simple as possible. If you haven’t navigated around BeautiNet, I would encourage you to familiarize yourself with all the valuable information that is available. The information I covered is just the product related information…there’s a lot more information available that will help you with all your business needs.
Good News:
As you are all aware, we have had challenges with the Show of Hands Instant Manicure leaking after the seal has been opened and the product is being used. After several years of testing various packages, lids, liners, etc., we have finally found a solution that will allow the product to be transported without leaking. We have been holding focus groups in our product testing area of the BeautiControl Research Institute and we feel like we have a wonderful solution that will not only allow the product to be transported, but will also allow us to keep the pricing as competitive as possible. We still have a little more testing to do now that we have honed in on a solution, but please know that we are working on it diligently and will have a solution in the near future.
Let me just give you a brief explanation of the situation so you can better understand why it has taken a while to develop a solution:
We have purchased every competitive product of this kind available on the market. One, in particular, was $65.00 and when we picked it up off the shelf in the store, there was a ring of oil that had soaked through the carton and onto the shelf. The ONLY competitive products that we were able to find that did not leak were packaged in a tube or bottle. While this did solve the leaking concern, it did not allow the product to be mixed and dispensed properly which will lead to running out of oil long before the package is empty. The ratio of oil to salt is a very crucial aspect of this type of product and it is necessary to stir the product completely to achieve the maximum results. (With that being said, if you have experienced a problem with the oil running out before the product is completely used up, please make sure that you are completely mixing the product before dispensing it with each use. Personally, I keep a spoon next to mine so I can stir and dispense more easily.) Anyway, to make a long story short, we did identify a package that solves all of our problems and allows the product to be stirred and dispensed easily AND allows you to transport the product from Spa to Spa without the worry of leaking.
In order to avoid a large price increase to change to this significantly more expensive package, we will be offering this re-usable package as a sales aid which will allow you to transfer your product into it if you are one who travels with the product and/or have a concern with leaking. You can use this for demonstration or offer it as a gift with purchase to your clients who use the product.
I just want to give a big “THANK YOU” to all of the Directors who helped us with the testing of this new package and gave us the information that we needed to finally resolve this problem once and for all. After we have completed all of our compatibility and quality testing, we will make this solution available to you sometime in the coming months.
As always, if you have specific product questions, please be sure to send it to product@beauticontrol.com.
Ok, now, don’t forget to log on to my Blog on Monday, December 17th. Stay up late or get up early, but don’t miss this. I have a very special gift that I will discuss in my blog, but remember, this is a one day offer! Until then, I hope you all have a wonderful weekend. Bye for now!
The last two months the Sugar Body Talc Powder has been listed while supply lasts. Is this product going to be discontinued? It is one of my favorite products since I cannot use any other perfumed type product. Please keep this item in our line of products as it is wonderful and used not only by me, but by many others who are also scent sensitive.

For anyone who needs a solution "now" to stop the leaking of the SOH products....
Purchase a "Dome Lid" used in canning/food preservation. The Dome Lid is the flat part with the rubber seal on the underside.
Place this dome lid (rubber side out) inside the lid of your SOH and then screw the SOH lid onto the jar. The dome lid will seal the container and it will not leak. Ball(R) is the company that manufactures the one that I use and it takes the regular size. In my part of the country, we get 1 dozen for about $1.25
This is an inexpensive and immediate alternative to product loss, spoilage and frustration surrounding this product.
