2009 – It’s Going to Be a Great Year!

It’s a new year and time for a fresh start! While 2009 seems new to everyone, for us, it has been a long time coming. Our 2009 planning started back in 2007 when we started strategizing our future plans and formulating our future products. I am so proud to reveal another year of new products as well as other key strategies that I know will help build your business to new heights in ’09.

As a business partner, I think you should all be very in-tune with where we are going as a company and what our key strategies are, so you can better understand where we are going. As our partner, together we can embrace the future.

Our product development strategy over the past few years has been to step the product line into the future. You have seen some amazing new introductions over the past few years such as the TFF products, Skinlogics Platinum Plus, Sensitive, and Clear as well as many other new, state of the art skin repair treatments. This year will be no different.

Now that we have created a futuristic line of technology driven products, we can focus our attention on other things. 2009 will be a very pivotal year for the BeautiControl product line. I think you are going to love the things that we have planned. Here are our key product strategies for 2009:

Ensure that new product development supports the Spa
The spa is where the magic happens. You will see that the new product program for 2009 is designed to support your spa selling. We will equip you with the tools for easy demonstration and education. Look for a focused “Spa Treatment of the Month” every month when you receive your Achiever. This will help you create new ideas for demonstrating your products, combining them to form “treatments” and featuring them in your Spa.

You will also see more samples of key products so you can offer your clients a trial size to encourage add-on purchases. You will see new tools introduced this year to keep your Spas compelling, keeping your hostesses lined up for bookings. We want to make having and holding a Spa as easy, fun and profitable as possible. The Spa is the answer for selling your products, building a client base and attracting people to join as a Consultant. Don’t ever underestimate the power of a strong client base…they are your bread and butter and we want to make sure that getting them and keeping them is easier than ever before.

Maintain technological advantage in marketplace
This goes without saying. Our advantage in the marketplace is our technological know-how and the ability to bring it to you at a fraction of the price of retail brands. We will continue our rigorous research and development on a global scale to ensure that you have the most up to date and state of the art products possible. You will see major advances in skin repair treatments, color cosmetics with skin repair benefits, as well as other new and unique products to keep your product line competitive and a step ahead of the competition. Remember, my mantra is innovation, not imitation, so you can be assured that products we deliver will be uniquely ours and designed to fit into our customized approach to anti-aging.

Support seasonal selling opportunities
This year will have plenty of fun, limited life promotional products that will help you increase your productivity and activity in the coming year. We will have seasonal product offerings in both color and bath and body products to stimulate sales interest and give you a reason to contact your existing client base for reorders. We will kick the year off with Apothecary LOVE products, which will be a limited introduction to support Valentine selling as well as extensions to the Luxuries of the Sea, Margarita and other existing product lines. In addition, we will have some new fragrances, color and new bath and body offerings. You will see these items featured at key times of the year such as Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, and Christmas.

Maximize training of core line to reduce the reliance on new products
One of our key initiatives this year, especially toward the back half of the year is to reduce the reliance on new products to drive sales. In order to do that, we will be regularly featuring and re-educating the key features and benefits of our core line of products. The key to being successful in this business is establishing a loyal client base, building a re-order business and sharing the opportunity with those that want to establish a loyal client base and build a re-order business. The way to do that is to ensure that each one of your clients understands the importance of MRP products, how they work on their skin and how they can help to intercept the aging process. If you can build a loyal client, you will never have to worry about making money. We will be introducing less ancillary products and more blockbusters to make sure that you always have a reason to not only build a new client base, but to encourage a re-order from your existing client base. I know I have said this before, but keeping clients as clients is key to your success. I see far too many people encourage their client base to join as a Consultant so they can get a discount on their products. This is not a buying club, it is a business opportunity. Make sure you keep your clients as clients. They can buy the products from you. If someone is interested in earning money by doing what you do, then share the opportunity to join with them. That is the way this business is designed and it is how you will make money both now and later.

Simplify core product offerings
Part of our mission to make the business easier for you is to simplify the products that you have to offer. This not only means less new products, but it means less of the existing products. We will be taking a concentrated look at the existing line of products and shaving them down to help you have fewer products to stock, educate to and sell.

That, my friends, is our product strategy for 2009. You will see a very exciting year in ’09, and as I said, a pivotal year as we take this business into the future. We are all a team and our success at the home office is based on your success as a Consultant. We will be doing everything possible to make this business easier, more profitable and more fun for you in the year to come. Watch our World…here we come!
