Can I suggest Skinlogics Clear to a client who is 63 with cystic acne?
If you have a client that has acne, regardless of their age, then the Skinlogics Clear is a good choice. If, after using for a few weeks, the regimen seems to be drying, you can substitute the Skinlogics 20s tonic for the Skinlogics Clear tonic.
Can the Triple Glow facial Tanner and Body Tanner be used by someone on a swim team without getting out of the water and turning orange?
Triple Glow, like all self tanners, contains an ingredient called dihydroxyacetone (DHA). This is the ingredient that causes the “tanning” effect on the skin. Every formulation can offer a varying shade of “tan” based on the other ingredients that are used as delivery systems or the amount of DHA that is used. Triple Glow offers gradual color, over several applications, to help you control the shade of “tan”. Every person’s skin will respond differently to self tanning products. My best advice is to try it and see. There should not be any interaction with chlorine that would cause the shade to turn orange or be altered in any way.
What is the difference between sulfa and sulfur?
First, sulfur is an element of the earth. This element is essential to life, and is the eighth most prevalent element in the human body. No one is allergic to sulfur itself. Sulfur is not present as an isolated element in the body, but in combination with other elements and, most often, in complex molecules. Disulfide bonds are important to the structural integrity of the connective tissues. Sulfur is a central component of proteins that chelate and remove heavy metals from the body. The benefits of sulfur compounds used in health products is often mentioned. Popular items include alpha-lipoic acid (thiotic acid), methyl-sulfonyl-methane (MSM), allicin (the sulfur compound that is the main active ingredient of garlic), glucosamine sulfate (and its natural polymer, chondroitin), SAMe (S-adenosylmethionine), and several important antioxidants, such as glutathione, and N-acetylcysteine (NAC)
One of the more common drug allergies is that to sulfa drugs. Sulfa-containing medications don't have any relationship with products containing sulfur. They're not related chemically and so are generally safe for sulfa-allergic patients.
Where does the Leg Apeel Self Tanner fit into the instant body lift? Should I use it before Sculpt or after? Do you get better results if you use Leg Apeel at night and BC Sculpt in the morning, or BC Sculpt morning and night?
The Leg Apeel Self Tanner does not fit into the Instant Body Lift treatment. If you want to add it to the treatment, it is recommended to apply it to the skin before the Sculpting Gel and Firming Body Cream.
When giving yourself the Instant Body Lift treatment, I recommend applying the Peel at night, prior to bed, along with your BC Sculpt Products. The next Morning use the Scrub to remove the dead surface cells and apply your BC Sculpt products over that. For best results, use the BC Sculpt products both AM and PM.
Will mineral Concealer be available in the near future?
There are no plans for a concealer that is marketed as “mineral” concealer. It is important to note that all foundations and concealers are composed of minerals whether they are marketed as such or not.
Do we have any products that would be great for someone that has poor leg circulation and also anything for bad leg varicose veins?
Although none of our products are formulated or tested with this in mind, there are a few products that I would recommend. First, the Luxuries of the Sea Instant Comfort Gel contains ingredients that could offer some vascular support. Also, the BC Spa Sculpt Sculpting Gel can help increase the circulation that could help improve the appearance of varicose veins in the legs.
Can Protective Services be used daily and for how long? Is it safe to use daily on her face and brow area?
Protective Services contains .5% hydrocortisone which makes it safe and effective for long-term use. Anything under 2% can be used indefinitely.
Where can clients find a list of product ingredients?
We do not publish our ingredient listings to our clients. If a client has a question regarding ingredients, you can find them all on Beautinet. They can either be looked at in the Product Information Center or downloaded from “forms on file”.
Are we legally allowed to perform the 5 minute application or do we just show them how to do it?
It is best to allow the clients to do the treatment on themselves. It is good to instruct the client so she is comfortable with the treatment when she incorporates the IFL into her skin care regimen.
Could the Indian Peppermint Pulse point lotion cause heart palpitations?
It would be unlikely that the Pulse Point lotion would cause heart palpitations unless someone has a known sensitivity to peppermint.
Will TFF 2 ounce jar be available again?
The 2oz. jar of TFF was a special, promotional item. We do not have any current plans to bring it back into the line. But, I never say never!
Which is the best product to use on the neck and shoulders with obvious uneven skin discoloration?
I would recommend the same treatment for the neck and shoulders that I recommend for the face. The Microdermabrasion, Regeneration Overnight, CBC Brightening Elixir and Cell Bock C SPF 20 are all great products to use for any form of hyper pigmentation anywhere on the body.
Which is best for extremely dry/calloused elbows and knees?
I would recommend a combination treatment of 3 products for best results. As odd as it sounds, I would recommend the Save Your Sole foot softening spray will help to dissolve the dead skin that is compacted. The Save Your Sole Sea Sand Foot Scrub will scrub away the calloused area and the Save Your Sole Foot Salve with moisturize and condition the skin.
I love the Brown Sugar Lip Gloss and have clients wanting to order it. Will you consider bring it back?
The Brown Sugar Lip Gloss was a limited promotional item to test it’s performance. Based on its success, you will likely see it again in future promotions with a longer life-span.
How often can I/my clients do the Instant Facelift? Is it a once-a-week procedure?
The Instant Facelift Treatment can be used up to 3 times per week if your skin allows.
With regards to animal testing, your website promotes that you don't test on animals. How can I "prove" to the clients? Where can I find this information?

Just wanting to know if you could advise a good use for the older versions of Time To Go, Sculptique Body Contouring Crème and Demarkable that I still have in stock? Is there a specific skin type that would benefit from these previous formulas over the new ones?
Regarding Time to Go and Sculptique, my suggestion would be either to offer them as a gift with purchase or discount them to existing clients of these products. Demarkable is an active product in our line, so I would continue to market it to those clients who are looking for a solution for scars and stretchmarks.
Are the new sculpting products are safe for women that are pregnant or nursing?
There is nothing in these formulations that would cause a concern since they are not systemic. The formulas do, however, contain caffeine. It is best to discuss this with the pediatrician to seek their advice or opinion.
Can Resurface Multi-Acid Resurfacing Peel and Chemical peel and MDA be done to the neck area?
Yes, but it is advisable to exercise caution until you see how the skin responds.
Why some clients have experienced irritation and some discomfort with Skinlogics Sensitive?
As with any product, there will always be someone who is sensitive to it…even if it is formulated for sensitive skin conditions. If a client has a sensitivity to any product in the Skinlogics Sensitive line, the next option is to try the Skinlogics formulation that best suits their age.

New Sculpt products: Are they to be used on the face as well to replace the Sculptique for Face?
No, these formulations are specifically intended for the body. Sculptique face and neck lotion would be the best choice for sculpting concerns on the face and neck.
What products can help to firm the neck and chest area?
Sculptique face and neck is great for the neck, when combined with your other facial anti-aging products such as TFF or Regeneration AM formulas. For firming on the bust, I would recommend the new BC Spa Sculpt Firming Body Cream.
Is the Caffeine in the BC Spa Sculpt safe for those with heart conditions that have to watch their caffeine intake?
As with any health condition, it is advisable to discuss this issue with your physician. They will be able to determine if the minute levels of caffeine would be of concern.
Why was the old chemical peel replaced? I feel that the old one worked better and I loved the ability to see all the dead skin that comes off when peeling.
The original Chemical Peel contained 5% acid. Although it was a good product, it was not as effective at expediting the removal of damage to the skin. In addition, the 2-step process was viewed as cumbersome and inconvenient for many of those who used the product regularly.
What ingredients in our products help to reduce/slow down the growth of facial hair?
The ingredient that is used in some of our products that has a history of retarding hair grown is called chaparral extract.
Is it true that if you use the Platinum Plus skincare, you don't use the Cell Block C PM if you use the Renewing night crème, and that you don't use the brightening elixir if you use the brightening day crème?
There is only a need for one night cream. If you use the Skinlogics Platinum Plus Renewing Night cream, you don’t need to use the Cell Block C PM. If your concern is age spots and discoloration, I would encourage you to use the Cell Block C Brightening Elixir even if you are using the Skinlogics Platinum Plus Brightening Moisturizer.
How do you sanitize the brushes for the MDA?
The easiest way to clean the MDA brush heads is in hot, soapy water. The brush heads can also be run through the dishwasher if you want to clean a larger number of them at the same time.
Why is the TFF Eye serum dispensing too much product? And what can be done to fix it?
With continued use, the TFF Eye Firming Serum pump will loosen up and give you the ability to more closely control the amount that is dispensed. One pump should be enough for application on both eyes. If more product is dispensed than needed, it is good to apply the remaining product to line prone areas such as the lip-line, between the brows or on the forehead.
What products can be used to help with white spots on face from years of sun damage?
White spots that appear on the skin are a form of sun damage. The most potent products to use for the treatment of sun damage would be Regeneration Overnight, Resurfacing Peel, Microdermabrasion and, of course, Cell Block C AM.

The % of retinol in the Regeneration Overnight is .4%...double the amount of retinol in the previous Time to Go formulation.

Yes, Hide the Shine can be blotted onto the skin over any of our foundations choices throughout the day to help control shine and reduce oil-breakthrough.
Is our chemical peel the same strength that is used in a doctor’s office?
The % of acids that are used in a clinical or salon environment will vary. Typically, they will range from 15 to 30% of a single acid configuration. BC Spa Resurfacing Peel contains 30% of a multi-acid configuration comprised of alpha, beta and polyhydroxy acids.
Should primers be used with the mineral makeup?
I always recommend the use of the Secret Agent Natural Makeup Primer with the Mineral Foundation…it vastly improves the wear ability of the formula and allows for better adherence. For the shadows, any of the Shadow Control Primers can also be used if desired.
