Hey everyone. I hope you all had a fantastic weekend. We had a wonderful week here last week with our Executive Directors and above rolling out our exciting new plans that will propel us into over-drive for 2010.
I wanted to take the opportunity today to keep you all posted on some items that are currently on backorder. As you all know, we had a fantastic October. In fact, October performed well beyond our expectations in so many areas. As a result, we have dramatically over-sold our forecast on several items, forcing us to backorder a few items temporarily. We certainly hate it when this kind of thing happens, but please know that we are expediting production and delivery dates to get back in service on the items that are currently out of stock. Below is a list of items that are currently on backorder as of today and the dates that you can expect for them to be back in stock and begin shipping:
- Under Eye Puffiness / Dark Circle Solution –Nov 11
- Sugar Cookie Lip Scrub –This is back in stock today and ready to order
- Sugar Cookie Lip Conditioner –November 12th
- Holiday Gift Sets featuring Tupperware Bowls - November 11th
- Select Wet Dry Foundations – November 30th
Information on Therma Del Sol Discontinuation
As you know, we announced that we would be discontinuing a few of the products in the Therma Del Sol line. I have seen your postings on my blog and have received your emails, so I wanted to take the opportunity to clarify a few issues about this discontinuation.
The Therma Del Sol Bath Soak and the Body Facial were replaced with the BC Spa Detox Bath Soak and Clay Mask in August. As a reminder, we took active detoxifying ingredients of the Therma Del Sol Bath Soak and added a higher concentration of detoxifying ingredients that actually are more effective at eliminating toxins from the skin. The new formulation has been clinically proven to be far more effective at detoxifying the skin and removing impurities. The main difference seems to be the “perception” that there is less peppermint (which there isn’t), which does nothing to detox, but does give a great smell and leave a cooling sensation on the skin. Since peppermint was the only scent in the Therma Del Sol Bath soak, it seemed more concentrated, even though we still have it included at the same percentage as before. We have heard your concerns and we have increased the peppermint in upcoming productions of the BC Spa Detox Bath Soak. It is not possible for us to keep both products in our line. I think you be quite pleased with the increased peppermint.
In addition, there seems to be an impression that we are discontinuing the Therma Del Sol Olive Butter Body Balm, but that product will stay in the line.
I hope this information is helpful. Have a fantastic week and I look forward to seeing you back here on Friday.
I too am sad to see that all of our begging wasn't enough to keep the TDS Bath Soak. I agree with the new BC Soak, that my clients will not purchase this because of the added cost, less appealing bottle and the fact that it is not going to matter that it has increased peppermint in it, because the other smells that are added in it, decreases the effect of the peppermint smell. Using the TDS Soak in my spas were a "wow" moment, and I am very sad to lose that in my spas. I do hope that if sales are low enough in the new BC Soak, that they will go back to the best, which was the TDS Bath Soak.

I too am saddened that the Skin Hydrator Anti-Ash Creme is on the while supplies last list. This is one of my favorite products!! While it is a little greasy if you use it by itself. It is FABULOUS mixed with any of your favorite body cremes. It makes your skin so soft. I think if you did a blog on some of these products that don't seem to be performing and ask for testimonials....then see if the sales don't support keeping the product around. I'll bet that most of the new consultants have never tried this product. I probably wouldn't have but my director was the one who tipped us off at a unit meeting to mix it with our body cremes....ever since I have love, love, LOVED this product. People just need to be educated...and your blog is the BEST place to do that. Thanks for letting me get my 2 cents worth in.

I am so upset to hear about Skin Hydrator Anti Ash being discontinued as I think about 80% of my clients are using it as do I and my consultants love it too.
Is this being reformulated or taken away for good?
IT is a perfect product [plus unscented too which we need to have and the jellied Vita E helps our bodies fight off aggressors that age our skin all over too while leaving an awesome sheen] and we have none else like it. A squirt of this and a squirt or any of our fragranced lotions makes them so much better too & insures two sales in one. WE NEED THIS PRODUCT..please drop the Paraffin Hand Treatment if you need to streamline the # of products we carry.
Also the cellulite is back as the new BC SCULPT set does not work as well as the last Sculptique. I have talked to a couple of other directors that feel the same way. Why is this..it should be so much better but it is disappointing. The directions have been followed too.

If you log onto BeautiNet, there is a "gluten reference sheet" in the "forms on file" section. This will outline all the products that contain gluten.

I had to discontinue my own personal use of the Detox products due to my allergy to ecualyptus. However I still pass around either the clay masque and body lotion for the clients to sample and smell. Everyone loves the scent of the detox products. No one has mentioned the packaging being boring or unapealing. When they see the difference in their skin after just a small trial of the masque they buy it.

I was reading on a past blog about skin care and I have a question. I have a friend that needs products that are gluten free and I noticed that the regeneration platinum plus is gluten free, what about the maintenance is it also gluten free as you discuss in your blog.

The good news is that Therma Del Sol is on sale this month, so it is a great time to stock up for those clients who prefer this product over the BC Spa Detox line. Unfortunately, we won't be keeping this item in the line.
We recommend using the Resurfacing Peel and the Microdermabrasion in the same session unless your skin is sensitive. This is how we promote using it in all of our Instant Facelift materials.

One more thought on the TDS Bath Soak...If it ain't broke...why fix it!!!
Posted by: Kem | November 11, 2009 at 11:46 AM
I agree that the new detox line looks very generic. It does not have great sell apeal! I love the TDS Bath Soak for my spas!!!
Gary, I am confused...some things I am reading tell me not to use the Chemical Peel and Microderm on the same day. This was not how it was introduced to me. What is your suggestion?
Posted by: Kem | November 11, 2009 at 11:40 AM
I have always soaked all of my towels and wash cloths in the soak. We hear you on the clinical findings but we don't like the product as well. The detox packaging is very booring, almost generic. It doesn't tingle on the skin, it is $5 more than the TDS and the TDS is my BEST selling spa product. That gorgeous red packaging sells. it looks beautiful in valentines and xmas gift sets... We LOVE IT, LOVE IT, LOVE IT! Don't TAKE IT, TAKE IT, TAKE IT! Get rid of the detox soak instead!

Woohoo, Gary! I think the increase in the smell will win my men over! Thank you so very much! :)

Hi Gary,
I need a product that smells and feels EXACTLY the same as the old Sculptique body contour cream. My client doesn't care what it's for.....and the new Sculpt line isn't the same. Any suggestions?
Thanks, Gaye

You rock Gary...once again.....you listened and produced!! I can't wait to smell the added PEPPERMINT! My family of asthmatics and reflux sufferers will thank you emmensely! I am in LOVE with the entire BC Spa Detox line! Thanks for such amazing products! God Bless YOU!

Thanks for the update on the TDS bath soak. But in addition to losing the better smell, I much prefer the packaging of the TDS Detox Soak. The packaging of the new BC Spa Line is very plain and not very sexy in a package. I will hate to lose the beautiful red bottle that plays so well and people love.

Thank you, thank you, thank you for the increased peppermint! Our clients are going to love you for it.
We are still waiting for some of the "tools" in the Holiday Spa section. Any idea when we will see those?
Can't wait to see the BC Color DVD!
Thanks for the updates on the back orders too!

I do not recommend using the bath soak in that manner, but if you were using the TDS Bath Soak for that purpose, then there is no reason you can't use the new one for the same purpose.

Many of us soak the washcloths for our spas (for our guests to remove cleanser, etc.) in the TDS bath soak. Is the detox bath soak safe to use the same way?
