I hope you all are having an amazing month. As I told you in Friday’s blog, we have extended the opportunity to maximize your profit potential by extending the offer to purchase the BC Spa Facial products at 20% off…and that is IN ADDITION to your already great consultant level discount. Skin care is our most valued product line not only because it is what today’s consumers are looking for, but also because it is what builds clients and creates a re-order business.
During December and January, you added a large number of new Consultants to your teams. NOW is the time to get them activated and show them how to be successful in this business. You, as a recruiter, have an obligation to your new Consultant to help them make the most of this incredible opportunity…even before they have the chance to attend a Beauti-U. Remember, when you signed them up to be a Consultant, you didn’t sell them a “set”, you helped them start a business. You know, I have to say this, one of my pet peeves is when we confuse the price of joining BeautiControl with the price of the case. $75 or $125 is NOT the price of the case…it is the cost of joining BeautiControl as a Consultant. The case is a demonstration tool to help your new Consultants get started in their Spa business and it’s value can be as rich as you want it to be. In fact, the case is an invaluable tool to Spa and SELL! If your potential new Consultant is looking for a “deal”, then it is best to show them the “deal” that they get as a Hostess, which allows them to earn product credit and great Hostess rewards. You and your new Consultants alike will find it much more profitable to create clients and build a re-order business rather than offering everyone the case as a discounted set and signing them up as a Consultant. All too often we turn potentially great clients into mediocre Consultants…which erodes your earning potential as a Consultant and it cheats your new Consultant out of the opportunity to be a valued client. The best Consultants come from clients who have already fallen in love with the products and see the potential to earn income by sharing their passion with others. When you come out of a Spa where you have recruited everyone there, you are left with NO new clients, a disappointed Hostess (because there were no sales at the Spa) and a group of new “Consultants” who have no intention of doing anything after the purchase of their “set”. I, personally, would rather have a group of clients that I can contact monthly with new product information, follow-up appointments and leads for future Spas. In fact, I have even offered someone that I knew only wanted to sign up to get a discount the opportunity to earn product discounts by referring 3 new clients to me every month. This type of client referral program will help to populate your client list quickly and get you in front of people outside your circle of influence. We have to stop presenting the BeautiControl opportunity as a chance to SAVE money, but rather as a chance to MAKE money. We are not a discount buyers club, we are a sales company, and when we present the opportunity as such it not only diminishes our business model but it erodes the value of our products. Product discounts are NOT intended to encourage you to buy to save money…they are there to help you PROFIT more when you sell your products at full price! Your career level discount ensures that you save every time you purchase so you can sell and make a profit.
In looking at all the new Consultants who joined in December and January, I am seeing a large number of them who have not yet activated, placed their qualifying order or registered to attend BeautiU. So, from now through the end of the month it is time to ACT UP! Let’s take advantage of the excitement level of our new Consultants and help them become successful NOW.
So what’s your first step? Well, personal contact is key. You will find that when you take your new Consultant by the hand and help them get started that you will not only build a stronger relationship with them, but you will help ensure her long-term success as a Consultant.
It is always helpful if you can “pop the box” with your New Consultant when her Spa Now Case arrives. This way you can help her set up her case and get her started. Effectively done, you can have your Consultant making sales and building her client list within the first few days as a new Consultant. Once your new Consultant sees her client list populating and starts making sales, then you have a Consultant that is going to stay in business.
But, before the case arrives, it is important to show your new Consultant ways to get started and spread the word about her new venture as a Skin Care Consultant.
First, log onto Beautinet! Your new Consultant will receive an email with her Consultant number. Have her immediately log-in and get started.
When she first logs on, she is going to see a welcome video that welcomes her to the company and gives her a quick overview of the company that she has just joined.
She is, of course, going to want to review the Spa Rewards program, but before she will be able to see the value of that, she needs to understand how easy it can be to get started making money immediately. Therefore, I recommend going straight to the Empower U and viewing the module titled, “Let’s Get Started”. This module will walk your new Consultant through the first steps to get her business started. This module will tell her all about Spa Rewards, filling out a FRANK list and all the basic "to do" items to get started in the business.
Another module that I would recommend to your new Consultant is the "How to Spa" video module located under the "Training and Events" tab. This will show your Consultant what to do to get started and show her the recommended flow of the Spa to get her started by seeing how easy it is to demonstrate the products, hold a Spa and make her first sales. In this section there are multiple videos and training webinars that your new Consultant will find very helpful as she learns more about the products.
Next, it's time to help your new Consultant set up her BeautiPage. This is a CRUCIAL step for every new Consultant, and the sooner they do it, the sooner they can start building clients and making sales.
BeautiPage is a service that is offers with no fee to the New Consultant for the first 30 days of her new business, so it is imperative that they log on immediately to let this tool help them make money. One of the key advantages of a BeautiPage is that it allows all of your contacts, friends and family to know that you have just started a business and this is your online storefront. The guests to your BeautiPage can view the Beauti book online, browse your product offerings and shop 24/7. The sales from your BeautiPage will not only count toward your qualifying order, but will also allow you to receive a 40% commission on any sale that is made through BeautiPage that is filled by BeautiConrol.
When they log onto Client Connection>BeautiPage, they will click on the "Edit My BeautiPage" to customize the page for each new Consultant. They will also notice that each month they have a special price on a featured product of the month. This allows them a greater discount on the purchase of a product that she might want to use as a special Host or Booking incentive should they choose.
We have a variety of template options. Be sure to help them choose a template that fits what areas they plan to focus on in the business initially, but change it frequently (monthly) so returning clients can see something new when they visit your page for a re-order.
Next, they will want to choose how they want the order to be fulfilled. Until your new Consultant has attended BeautiU and has some inventory on hand, I would suggest that they check "BeautiControl" fulfilled. That way they don't have to worry about having the inventory on-hand. Like I said before, they will receive a 40% commission on the sale and never have to spend any money to ensure that the new client gets their order quickly. The new Consultant will receive an email when an order has been placed on her BeautiPage, so it is important that she follow-up with the client. I would suggest a quick email back to the client that reads, "Dear _____, Thank you so much for your order. Your order will be shipped directly from the BeautiControl Distribution Center in Dallas and should arrive within the next 7 to 10 days. I will be contacting you in a few days to ensure that you received your order and answer any questions that you may have. I would also love the opportunity to talk to you about hosting a Spa so I can demonstrate our products to you and your friends and get you started on a complete skin care regimen".
Next, be sure to list 5 Zip Codes in your area or in areas where you would like to receive leads. This will help new clients find you when they use the Consultant Locator function on Beauticontrol.com.
Next, be sure to include your Facebook page so we can link Facebook to your BeautiPage. This will allow your clients to connect with you on Facebook so they can be in the know when you post updates and have BeautiControl activity on your Facebook page.
After your free trial expires after 30 days, you have the option of renewing for $12 a month or an annual fee of $120, although right now we are running a special for $99.
Be sure to check out the Marketing Tips for BeautiPage. This will give you some great ideas for making the most out of your experience and help drive more business to your BeautiPage quickly. BeautiPage is your online store and it is always open to allow your clients to shop. When your clients log onto your BeautiPage, they know that you are in business. It validates you as a new Consultant and allows them to shop at their convenience.
Be sure to check your BeautiPage stats. This will show you how many people have visited your website so you can determine how effective your communication is. Once you see that your site is generating traffic, you will be able to see the true potential that your BeautiPage offers you.
Now that you have your BeautiPage set up, highlight the link to your page, copy it and create an email to everyone in your contact list. Paste the link to your BeautiPage into the email with a message that says, "Hey Everyone, I am SO excited and just had to share my excitement with all of you. I have recently fallen in love with a line of products from BeautiControl and have made the decision to become a certified Skin Care and Spa Consultant. I am attaching the link to my online store so you can take a look at the product catalog and let me know if there are any products that you would like to try. We have an incredible new tool called the Skin S.P.A. that will diagnose a PERFECT skin care prescription for your individual skin care concerns. I have never seen anything more powerful and can't wait to have the opportunity to share it with you in person. Let me know a time that would be convenient for you so I can show you in person. I know you are going to fall in love with these products just like I have".
You also have the opportunity to share our product videos and commercials with your clients. In the Training/Events section of BeautiNet you will find a list of online videos that you can share with your prospective new clients via email or post them to your Facebook with a message that is similar to the one I have recommended above. I always love to lead with the BC Spa Facial commercial since skin care is and will be the core of your Spa business.
You have a variety of ways that you can contact your clients and share information. You can choose to email notifications such as monthly E-newsletters or E-Postcards
When you choose the "Mail" option, you have the ability to mail hard copies of items such as our monthly Client Brochure or the BeautiBook to each of your existing or prospective new clients. You can choose to send the BeautiBook with sensors included to allow them to use your Skin S.P.A. tool from the moment they receive their catalog. Once they receive their catalog, you can follow up with them and walk them through the process of completing their Skin S.P.A. quiz and either place an order with them or ask them to Host a Spa for you.
You are also going to find a host of tools on BeautiNet that will help you learn more about your business and give you the tools to best market your business. In the "Business Tools>Forms on File" section you will find a multitude of educational and informative tools that you can download and use to either educate yourself or your clients. There are product profiles for each of our products that outline the features and benefits. These make great handouts for your clients so they can see the power of the products that they are using. This section of BeautiNet will be one of the most useful areas for you. It is literally packed with information and tools to help make your business easier and more productive.
Now, lastly, it's time to get registered for BeautiU. BeautiControl is one of the only companies in this industry that offers class-room training to help you learn how to Spa and how to sell with confidence. At BeautiU, you will also have the opportunity to receive a FREE bonus back for attending and receive a great opportunity to place inventory orders at a great savings. It is also a great way to introduce your friends to the BeautiControl opportunity. Log onto BeautiNet and download your new Consultant checklist located under Business Tools>Forms on File>Recruiting>7 Simple Strategies as well as your FRANK List, which is located in the "recruiting" tab, also located in the same section. This will give you a step-by-step guide to becoming successful and making sales in the first few days your business. The FRANK list will help generate immediate contacts for you. The people on your FRANK list are what is called your "warm market". These are the first people that you contact about your new business and allow them to help you expand your scope outside your immediate circle of influence. This group can be a very powerful group of people to help you expand your scope. Once you get outside your immediate circle of influence, you business will take on a life of its own.
Ok, so now your Spa Now Case arrives...so now what? Well, one of the first things that I recommend is that you place your demonstration stickers on all of your products, open each of the products and become familiar with their features and benefits. Try each of them for yourself so you are familiar with their smell, feel and application.
Now, take the 10 BeautiBooks that came in your case and apply 10 Skin Sensors. Use these 10 to hand out to the 10 people you think are going to be the most influential or who are most likely to order.
Now, it's time to get clients on your client list. Email each of your contacts, along with an E-postcard, a product video and the link to your BeautiPage so we can get your client list populated quickly.
Take the remainder of the sensors and use them to book Spas and start selling your Skin Care.
Once you get a list of clients on your list, you are in business.
With every new client that uses the sensors, logs onto your BeautiPage to take the Skin S.P.A. quiz, you will receive an email that lets you know that you have a new client. With each email you receive, make a point to quickly follow up with them. I, personally, like to attach a copy of the Client Profile, which you can download from Business Tools>Forms on File>Sell>General Business Forms along with a message of this nature: "Dear ____, thank you so much for taking the Skin S.P.A. Quiz. I am attaching your Skin S.P.A. prescription for your convenience (and I always like to copy and paste the link to their Skin S.P.A. prescription for reference), along with a client profile form. I would love to add you as a preferred client so I can keep you posted with new products. I would love the opportunity to meet with you in person to discuss your recommended skin care prescription and allow you to try the products for yourself. I would also love to talk to you about ways that you can earn discounts on your product purchases by hosting a Spa for your friends. I can not only show you how to take care of your skin, but also show you some additional products that will help you pamper yourself, relax and of course, look fabulous with our extensive line of color cosmetics."
Once you receive the client profile back from your client, you can log onto your client list online and enter the information so you can keep all of your client's data in one place. You can work this client list monthly to offer the personalized service for each of your clients that BeautiControl has always been known for. Your have the opportunity to treat your clients to a service experience unlike any other and one that is practically non-existent in today's society. Remember, personal contact is KEY and something that each of your clients will consider a luxury.
If I could offer one last bit of advice, it would be this...NEVER NEVER NEVER discount your products to sell them. There is not a premium cosmetic company in this industry that puts their products on sale! If you client wants a discount, the only time I make that available is when they Host a Spa (as part of the Hostess Program), when they book and hold a Spa or when I want to use them to refer new clients. Offer them a gift with purchase when they place an order or even a purchase with purchase, but never discount the value of your products to your clients. You are in business to make money, not give away your profits. Your clients don't expect it and once you start it, it is like a bad drug...they will expect it forever. The products that you have to offer are some of the most superior products in this industry and they are a STEAL even at full price. If they are looking for a discount, then they will be prime candidates to host a Spa for you or refer new clients.
In the process, you are going to run into people who want to join as a "Consultant" only to save money when they place their orders. In reality, both of you will be better off if you show her how it is much more lucrative to have her earn a discount from you as a client by Hosting a Spa or referring new clients to you. Clients keep you in business...not wholesale "Consultants". Build your clients, let them see your earning potential and once they fall in love with the products and see your success, they will see this as an opportunity to earn extra income, not as simply an opportunity to save a few dollars when she orders every few months.
Your new Consultants have just joined one of the best companies in the Direct Sales industry and they have the potential to earn money quickly. Once they make a few sales and see their client list grow, it is almost impossible not to stay in business. Quick successes in selling create confidence in the potential of this business. So let's make sure we connect and activate with each new Consultant who joined us and show them what it feels like to live the Beautiful Life with BeautiControl.
