Just when you think it can’t possibly get any better, they did it again! BeautiControl prepared and executed by far the most POWERFUL Leadership conference EVER!
From the opening sessions right down to the final moment when we shared together and received our very own Beautiful Daisy – it was an absolutely amazing 3 days!
There was also a very exciting first for the W.H.O. Foundation as they presented W.H.O. Volunteer Service Grants for the first time ever at Leadership conference. It was so exciting to see the money we raise be put into action and to change lives in our local communities!
Over $139,000 was awarded to eight organizations around the United States.
As the W.H.O. Foundation celebrates its 20th Anniversary, we have even bigger hopes and have set higher goals with our efforts to both raise money and to give it back than ever before as we continue help those in need.
If you are currently volunteering at an organization in your community, please take a moment to look into the W.H.O. Volunteer Service Grants and see if your organization qualifies for the money that is available. The deadline to apply is May 21st. The application is simple to complete. For the details questions about the organization, take it to someone there (the executive director, development director, etc.) and they will be HAPPY to help! Just a quick reminder to please remember W.H.O. at the April Director Meetings. We are planning a 50/50 raffle and who wouldn’t love to take cash home from the meeting! ½ to the winner and ½ for W.H.O.
I will say it again – Volunteer Service Grant applications are due in the W.H.O. office by May 21st! Celebration in July may seem quite a ways off now – but the deadline for the VSG applications is certainly getting close. If you volunteer for a charity, don’t let this opportunity to take funds back to them get away!
Also for Celebration – New You for W.H.O. will be back so watch for the ticket order form coming soon so you can purchase your tickets before you get there. It was a great success last year and we expect even bigger and better for 2013! The 14th Annual W.H.O. Walk is coming uptoo. Just $20 to pre-register AND guarantee that you will get a t-shirt in your size. Register online at the same place you register for Celebration.
